Continuing Education Conference

SUBMISSIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLINE ONLY.
Deadline
and Commitments:
The Call for Papers deadline is
October 1 preceding conference year.
The contact person listed will
be informed of proposal status by October 31.
The contact
person is expected to contact all presenters regarding acceptance of the
proposal.
Submission
of an accepted paper is a commitment to register for and attend the
conference.
Submission of a proposal constitutes
permission for audio/video recording, and photography, and for use of same
by the Mississippi Speech-Language-Hearing Association, without restriction.
Disclosure of Proprietary Interest:
The presentation must not be used by
presenters to promote, take orders for, or sell products, services, or
materials.
MSHA requires presenters to disclose any
proprietary interest in any product, instrument, device, service, or
materials discussed in a presentation as well as the source of compensation
related to the presentation.
Proposal Evaluation Criteria:
Clarity of title, abstract, and summary
Level of anticipated interest
Clarity of goals/learner outcomes
Theoretical/scientific rationale
Crediting Authorship:
Program presenters will follow the guidelines
for crediting authorship of research presentations as outlined in the
Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
Copyright Permission:
Presenters are responsible for obtaining
written permission from copyright holders for the duplication of previously
published materials distributed in conjunction with the presentation.
MSHA Endorsement:
Inclusion of any presentation in the
conference program does not imply endorsement of content, specific products,
or clinical procedures by the Mississippi Speech-Language-Hearing
Association.
Handouts:
All handouts should be submitted via email
by December 1.
You will receive
handout submission instructions at the email address you
list below.
MSHA will not provide any duplication
services for paper handouts before, during, nor after the conference.
Submission of handouts constitutes
permission for use of same
by the Mississippi Speech-Language-Hearing Association, without restriction.
Presenters wishing to distribute printed
handouts at the time of the meeting are responsible for bringing and distributing those handouts.
