FOR MARCH 27 AND 28:
In
an effort to accommodate the growing attendance of our conference and
ensure the comfort of all attendees we have worked with the Jackson
Hilton to develop plans for parking and food service. Alternative
Parking will be available across Ridgewood Road from the Jackson Hilton
in the parking lot between Walgreen’s & Copeland’s Restaurant. The
Hilton Shuttle will pick up & drop off on the following schedule during
conference.

On Friday, March 28, 2008, an additional lunch buffet will be available
in the Madison Meeting Room located at the back entrance of
Huntington’s Restaurant in the parking lot of the Jackson Hilton. This
buffet will have the same food served at Wellington’s, the restaurant
located off the lobby area of the hotel. The cost is the same, $13.57,
which includes drink and tax. You may choose either location for lunch
on Friday.

Stephen
Lynly Stephen, CCC-SLP, is a speech - language pathologist specializing in collaboration as a public school SLP, public speaker, and consultant to public and private schools. Lynly received her B.A. in communications disorders from Abilene Christian University and her Master's of Science degree in Communication Sciences from Texas Women's University. She is an active member of the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) where she serves as Associate Editor of the Communicologist. She is also an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as the Learning Disabilities Association of Texas (LDAT). She has extensive experience working with a wide range of populations including language disorders, articulation, severe/profound mental retardation, autism, early childhood, and PPCD. Lynly has presented continuing education workshops and seminars to countless education service centers, independent school districts and private schools, as well as consulting to school districts implementing complete inclusion programs district-wide. As the founder and President of MindWorks Resources Incorporated, she has authored multiple educational books on topics including language, literacy, inclusion/collaboration, and speech-language pathology, including the popular series Language in the Classroom™ (LINC™) for SLPs, classroom teachers, and special educators. Her company has created opportunities for numerous talented educators to publish high quality, practical educational materials. Abstract: Put on your safari hat and be prepared to explore how fun and simple literacy learning can be! Spend the day surrounded by interactive, hands-on literacy learning using proven techniques and strategies. Learn new twists on old ideas as well as an abundance of new, fresh activities. Make-and-takes and tons of fun await you as you experience how amazing the jungle of literacy can be! You’ll emerge from this adventure as the king, or queen, of the literacy jungle!
